Vespa World Days” 2008 in Cefalù from 24 to 27 April |

Thousands of participants expected to the most important Vespa gathering in the world
For their first time in Italy, “Vespa World Days”, the most important world gathering of the Vespa fans, land in Sicily. From 24 to 27 April Cefalù will be the headquarters of the big festival reserved to the owners of vintage and modern Vespa scooters.

PARKING AREA FOR VANS |
Thanks to the Municipality of Cefalù, a parking area will be at participants disposal for their vans. The area will be at the touristic port “Presidiana”, indicated in this map. |

REACH SICILY BY “VESPA EXPRESS” |
The Vespa riders will have a good opportunity to go shopping in Cefalù. The shops and the workshops associated to the ARCOM, an association of traders and craftsmen, will remain opened until 22.00 hours, in order to give time to the riders attending to the excursions to visit the shops and workshop, looking for good gifts. The participants at the gathering will get a discount for shopping in the associated shops, thanks to a special card that they will receive in Cefalù.

| THE PIAGGIO MUSEUM IN PALERMO |
|
|
This year too some historical Vespa of the Piaggio Museum in Pontedera will be displayed at the “Vespa World Days”. The choosen location will be not Cefalù. But Palermo, destination of the big parade on Saturday 26 and seat of the official farewell lunch. The historical Vespa will be displayed in some gazebos located in central Piazza Politeama, the “heart” of the Sicilian capital and therefore could be admired even by the inhabitant of Palermo and by the tourists that will be in Palermo in that holiday period. |

Change to the program of Sunday 27 April |
We inform you that the gymkhana scheduled on 27 April will not take place as foreseen. The program of this day will be the following: excursion to Lascari and Cerda, duration about 3 hours. At 10.00 departure from Cefalù; after 4 kms stop at Lascari, where the local municipality will offer the "Sweet Bye Bye from Lascari": a taste of "granita", a Sicilian ice-cream with citrus fruits flavours. Continuation to the "Stands and boxes at Cerda, where lied the headquarters of the "Targa Florio" till 1977; they were the heart of the racetrack of 72 kms, on which the most famous racing drivers in the world have competed. Continuation to Cerda, for the visit of the Targa Florio Museum (free offer, at least 1 Euro), that collects antiques and pictures of the famous race, that took also place with motorcycle.

park the Vespa, also during the night. The parking will be
guarded but anycase the organizer will be not responsible
for theft and damages that could occured to the Vespa. |

The participants to the Vespa World Days showing their bade will get a discount on the entrance fee at the Mandralisca Museum: Euro 3,00 instead of Euro 5,00. DRIVE BEER WILL TAKE CARE OF THE FOOD SERVICE |
Drive Beer will take care of the food service at the Vespa World Days with a special Hospitality Village (in the picture) where it will be possible to have lunch and dinner, to buy beverages and snacks. The same track will play music and will have a screen where will be projected some videos.

The Mandralisca Museum in Cefalù will host from 24th to 27th April an exhibition dedicated to the use of the Ape for work reasons, in cooperation with the Piaggio Foundation. It will be possible to admire pictures and advertising poster of the famous three wheels vehicle, and to know the 60 years of history of the Ape. |

"SCHITICCHIO PARTY" AT THE VESPA VILLAGE |
"Schiticcio" in Sicilian dialect means "pic-nic", or taste of foods. It is just a food taste, what we will organize on Saturday 26th April at the Vespa Village, from 23h00 untill midnight, before the fireworks. The Lillies Club and the Cantine Cicerone will offer a taste of olives, salamis, anchovies, cheeses, pizza and "sfincione" (a special Sicilian pizza), in cooperation with the restaurant Il Gabbiano. The wine will be offered by Simonetti wineyards at San Cipirello. |

PROCEDURES TO BE FOLLOWED AT THE ARRIVAL IN CEFALU' |
We inform you about the procedures to be followed at your arrival in Cefalù, in order to reconfirm your presence, collect the welcome kit and the pass that will allow you to get the services included in the registration fee.Once arrived in Cefalù you will find some signs showing you the direction to follow to reach the Vespa Village (very close). When you arrive at the Vespa Village, please park there your Vespas and on foot (150 meters) you reach the reception, which is located at the interior of an Italian Army building (showed by signs). In order not to crowd the rooms of the reception, at the the interior cannot be admitted all the members of the club, but it is enough one person each 10 registered people, that can confirm the presence of the other members and collect for them their welcome kits.
